The Gist of Social Media Marketing Today

For the average social media user, it’s all about posting pictures of your favorite cat or what you are having for dinner at the moment. It’s stuff that the only one interested in it is you. Nobody else cares.

If you don’t know, it’s because you are either not monitoring and tracking it or you simply don’t care. Either way, you should realize that there may be a chance you are burning money.

If you can’t see direct results, then it just might be time to can your social media marketing plan and get back to what counts. Talking to people. Real people.

This is the real reason social marketing is dying a slow, painful death. There’s no real “social” interaction. Everything is automated to show up on your website or social media pages and sounds like you are talking to a brick wall. Is there a fix? Absolutely.

Pick up the phone and call someone. Call your customers, call prospects, call the people and make a difference. Make it about the guy on the other end of the phone. The one whose business you want. Make it personal.
